Let me quickly start out by saying hello! We're Juliana and Trey, the creators behind American Travel Archives. To celebrate the launch of our new website and to give you a better understanding of who we are, here's a little introduction to us.

Juliana was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to the United States with her family in 2019. I was born and raised outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. We met a few months after I moved to Florida in 2022 where Juliana had been living for a couple of years already.

We met on Hinge and decided to go to the movies for our first date. I didn't do a great job. I barely spoke to her the whole time and afterwards I just gave her a hug and left her there. For some reason, she gave me another chance and she claims I did a lot better the second time.

After dating for a little over a year, Juliana joined my family on a trip to Hawaii where we got engaged. In January 2026, we finally got married surrounded by friends and family.

Over the 3 years we've been together, we've never passed the opportunity to take trips around the country. With our first trip to Atlanta to see the Georgia Aquarium, to our latest trip to visit Washington DC to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary.

I will give credit where credit is due. Juliana is the driving force behind our travels. Since she's moved to this country, she's been enamored with the beauty and diversity of America and has wanted to see as much of it as she can. As someone who grew up here, I've always loved this country and wanted to see more of it but never took the initiative to travel to new places alone or with friends.

Even before we started American Travel Archives, we were traveling and we'd still be traveling if we hadn't started the page. We're grateful to God for the opportunities we've been given to see more of this country in the last 3 years than all I'd seen the previous 21 years combined.

So if you're interested in seeing more of America, learning about new places to see and things to do, and tips and tricks on how to travel more in America. Be sure to follow along with us.
